The tryout hub is your checklist: confirm tryout night, venue, and what to bring. Mark each item reviewed so nothing is a surprise when you arrive.

Steps
- On /portal, open your player under Tryout hub (or follow Live signal).Expected: You reach /portal/tryouts/[preregId].
- Read the assigned tryout night (date and time).Expected: The night matches your application or staff confirmation.
- Review venue name and address; mark venue reviewed when done.Expected: Checklist updates; progress bar advances.
- Read the pack list (what to bring); mark pack reviewed.Expected: All three checklist items can show complete before tryout night.
- If you need a different night on the same age track, use the request change control in the hub.Expected: You see confirmation that staff received the request; pending until approved.

Troubleshooting
Wrong night shown
Likely cause: Application age track matched a default session.
Fix: Request a night change in the hub or email the club before tryout week.
Tryout hub missing entirely
Likely cause: Login email differs from application parent email.
Fix: Sign in with the application email or ask staff to update the record.
What you still cannot do here
- Night changes require staff approval — you cannot self-switch to another age track.
- Backup status at /tryouts/status does not include the full hub checklist.
Portal button labels may differ slightly — club staff can edit parent-facing copy at /admin/portal-copy. The headings in this guide match the default shipped text.
